Naperville, IL. January 2021. Tapville Social, the innovative tech-forward food and beverage franchising concept announced the award of a franchise for Fox Valley Mall in Aurora, IL. The franchisee, Edwin J. Goitia, owner of Final Stretch Events, will be operating the location with plans to add Tapville Mobile Taprooms to his events business in the Chicagoland area.

In 2020, the City of Aurora, amended their liquor license classifications to permit a strolling liquor license for Fox Valley Mall. A strolling liquor license permits the licensee to sell beer & wine to patrons that can enjoy their beverage within the common areas of the retail center. Shoppers can make a purchase and “stroll” throughout the retail center with their beverage versus being contained to a specific area.

The Fox Valley strolling license issued by the City of Aurora is the second municipality in the Midwest to issue such as a license. Tapville secured the first strolling license for the Fashion Outlets of Chicago in Rosemont, Illinois in 2019 becoming the first retail center in the Midwest with a strolling license.

“The retail environment is changing dramatically with online shopping choices. Now more than ever with the impacts of the pandemic, attracting shoppers to brick & mortar shopping destinations requires much more than traditional approaches to retailing. ” said Joseph Tota, CEO, Tapville. “Tapville helps retailers create a modern, community-centric experience, while introducing local independent breweries to shoppers.”

Tapville makes it easy to integrate self-pour technology. Innovations like advanced data collection and self-service technology give Tapville locations the capacity to take remarkable strides in the optimization of the customer experience, all while drastically cutting costs of a traditional food & beverage concept.

“Tapville has a very impressive business model. Before requesting information on the franchise opportunity, I had been following Tapville for six months and was impressed with their business strategy. As a home brewer and owner of an events business, I’m able to intersect my passions with Tapville”, said Edwin J. Goitia, owner of Final Stretch Events.

Kris Begley, Director of Franchising Sales at Tapville added, “The Tapville Retail Kiosk model is well positioned to support the needs of mall developers. Look at any retail center and you’ll see an abundance of vacancies. Tapville helps mall developers and local municipalities to regain shoppers with a modern approach.”

Tapville is taking major steps to reduce the cost of labor through innovations like self-pour taps (also reducing wasted draft beer), table tablet ordering, and a smartphone loyalty app, while upping the ceiling for customer satisfaction through an increased level of possible customization.

By using advanced data collection, our locations can create highly specific profiles for all our customers and use these insights to market to similar demographics on social media platforms. This also gives us a leg-up when it comes to tweaking the customer experience, adapting the menu options, and more.
